One of the ways I know I’m going to react to a cleaning product is if it has a strong fragrance – just getting a whiff of a cleaning spray can set off a migraine. As someone with salicylate sensitivity, I need to be mindful of what I put in my mouth and on my skin so as not to overwhelm my body with salicylates. However, it’s not just food and cosmetics that pose a problem, it can be household cleaning products too, many of which list the offending chemical in their ingredients.

Fortunately, there are a number of salicylate-free cleaning products available, the best of which I have outlined below. Hopefully the list provides a little help and assurance to those searching for cleaning product alternatives.
