Those new to the low salicylate journey may find themselves wondering, what exactly does one stock the pantry and fridge with when many of their favs are now off the menu? Well, never to fear, I’m here to give you a little peek inside my kitchen to see what kinds of ingredients I keep on hand to ensure there’s always something fun to nibble on.
The following list contains foods I use on a weekly basis as well as in the recipes posted on this blog. While admittedly not the most dazzling array of pantry, fridge and freezer inclusions, these trusty ingredients do allow my family to whip up a satisfying low salicylate meal or snack whenever hunger strikes.
Note: There are a couple of medium salicylate inclusions which I have marked with an asterisk. These foods I consume less often to ensure I don’t surpass my tolerance level.
